Use and Maintenance of Suspended Plows
The following safety precautions should be observed when using suspended plows: Do not perform maintenance or repairs while the plow is raised; no one should sit on the plow during field operations; when lowering the plow, do so slowly and gently to prevent deformation or damage to the shovel tip; the plow must be raised before turning during operation; when stopping the machine and turning off the engine, always lower the plow to the ground; when the plow is not in use, use support rods to secure the plow frame to prevent tipping.
Maintenance methods for suspended plows: During plowing operations, the plow comes into contact with soil, sand, and gravel, resulting in harsh working conditions. Only proper and timely maintenance can fully utilize the plow's efficiency and extend its service life. Maintenance items mainly include the following: After plowing, clean the accumulated mud and weeds adhering to the working surface and plowshare; after plowing each day, check all screws and tighten any loose nuts; during plowing, apply grease to the lubrication points on the suspension shaft adjusting screw 1-2 times daily; regularly check the wear of the plow shovel, plowshare, and plow side plates, and replace severely worn parts.
