(1) Overload: Caused by the rotary tiller penetrating too deeply or by heavy, hard, sticky soil. Solution: Adjust the tillage depth or perform appropriate heavy tillage, reduce the unit's forward speed and cutter shaft speed.
(2) Abnormal Jumping: When the soil is hard or the blades or universal joints are not installed correctly, the rotary tiller often jumps abnormally. Solution: Reduce the unit's forward speed and cutter shaft speed, re-check, and correctly install the blades and universal joint clamps.
(3) Large Clods Thrown Behind: Mainly caused by bent, deformed, broken, or missing blades. Solution: Correct or replace the blades.
(4) Uneven Tillage: When the rotary tiller is not leveled, the trailer position is incorrect, or the unit's forward speed and cutter shaft speed are not properly coordinated, the tilled surface will be uneven. Solution: Readjust the rotary tiller, adjust the trailer position, change the tractor's forward gear or cutter shaft speed. (5) Gearbox noise: Caused by foreign objects falling into the gearbox, excessive lateral clearance of the bevel gears, damaged bearings, or broken gear teeth. Solution: Remove the foreign object, readjust the clearance, repair or replace the bearings and gears.
(6) Metallic knocking sound: When the blade fixing screws are loose, the blades or covers at both ends of the cutter shaft are deformed, the cutter shaft drive chain is too loose, or the universal joint angle is too large, the rotary tiller will make a metallic knocking sound during operation. Solution: Retighten the screws, straighten the cover or replace the blades, adjust the chain tension, control the rotary tiller's lifting height, and reduce the universal joint angle.
(7) Cutter shaft cannot rotate: Caused by damaged and jammed gears, damaged and seized bearings, no tooth lateral clearance in the bevel gears, bent and deformed cutter shaft, cutter shaft entangled in grass, or severe mud blockage. Solution: Replace the gears or bearings, readjust the clearance, straighten the cutter shaft, and remove the entangled grass and mud.
(8) Gearbox oil leakage: When the oil seal is damaged, the paper gasket is damaged, or the gearbox is cracked, the gearbox will leak oil. Troubleshooting methods: Replace the oil seal and paper gasket, and weld the housing.
(9) Parts flying out: When the locating pin falls off, the cross bearing retaining ring falls off, or the universal joint breaks, the universal joint or cross bearing will fly out. Troubleshooting methods: Install the locating pin and retaining ring, and replace with a new universal joint.
(10) Blade bending and breaking: The blade may bend or break due to the blade falling suddenly onto hard ground or colliding with hard objects, continuing to till while turning, or the blade being too hard or having cracks. Troubleshooting methods: Remove hard objects, lower the blade slowly, raise the rotary tiller to stop operation while turning, and replace with qualified blades.
