There are many reasons for crankshaft breakage in agricultural tractors. Prevention should focus on the following aspects:

1. Poor manufacturing quality of the crankshaft can cause breakage. Therefore, when assembling the engine, use high-quality products from reputable manufacturers to prevent the installation of inferior parts.

2. When repairing the crankshaft, ensure the main bearings in the crankshaft housing are concentric, and properly fillet the crankshaft after grinding. During installation, prevent misalignment of the shaft centerline and misalignment of the counterweight. Use a torque wrench when installing the crankshaft, especially when tightening the connecting rod bolts; tighten them alternately and evenly, and secure the cotter pins. Replace any cracked, damaged, or scored connecting rod bolts and main bearing bolts immediately.

3. Prolonged overload operation of the tractor, along with sudden clutch engagement, rapid throttle input, and abrupt braking, can easily cause crankshaft breakage. If any abnormalities are observed during operation, inspect immediately. If severe knocking, single-cylinder failure to ignite, black smoke, or unstable engine operation occurs, stop the tractor immediately for inspection and repair. Regularly maintain good engine lubrication conditions, check the quality of lubricating oil, and prevent impurities and dust from entering the engine.
