Hand-held tractors are widely used in rural areas, but due to a lack of knowledge and operating skills among some novice operators, malfunctions are frequent, leading to delays in farming and low efficiency. Based on years of experience in training and practicing hand-held tractor operators, this article introduces operating techniques for hand-held tractors for operators' reference.
1. Before starting, the operator should check and fill the engine with diesel fuel, engine oil, and coolant, and fill the gearbox with gear oil.
2. When starting, place the throttle in the off position, press the depressurization lever, and crank the engine 20-50 times to allow the engine oil to lubricate the entire machine. Simultaneously, observe whether the oil level indicator valve has risen. Then, place the throttle in the middle position, depressurize, and crank the engine. When the speed reaches 100 rpm, quickly release the depressurization lever; the engine should then start normally. 3. After starting, do not immediately put the engine into operation. Run it at medium throttle for about 5 minutes to observe if the engine runs normally. If not, stop the engine, investigate the cause, and troubleshoot the problem.
4. The engine should only be put into operation under load when the coolant temperature reaches 60℃ or higher. The optimal coolant temperature for load operation is 75℃-95℃.
5. When operating the clutch, disengagement should be quick and complete, while engagement should be slow. It is strictly forbidden to operate the engine with the clutch in a partially disengaged state.
6. Shift gears smoothly, avoiding abrupt changes. When shifting from a lower gear to a higher gear, first increase the vehicle speed, then disengage the clutch and reduce the throttle before engaging the higher gear. The reverse is true when shifting from a higher gear to a lower gear.
7. Maintain a safe speed. When driving through urban areas, towns, villages, narrow roads, curves, slopes, intersections, bridges, etc., the speed must not exceed 15 km/h. 8. Tractors are not allowed to operate at excessive speed, weight, height, length, or width. They are not allowed to carry passengers, mix passengers and cargo, or roll downhill in neutral.
