Agricultural transport vehicles are commonly used by farmers, but parts inside the vehicle sometimes break down during operation. How can operators detect and repair damaged parts promptly? Based on years of experience and research conducted in various locations, professionals from the Provincial Agricultural Machinery Bureau have developed some temporary emergency repair measures for agricultural transport vehicles.
When a cylinder head gasket burns out, if the burnt area is a small hole, it can be filled with asbestos thread. If the burnt area is larger, a patch can be cut from the same location on the waste cylinder head gasket, with the same thickness as the original gasket. Place this patch on the burnt area and carefully tap it to ensure a good fit. If the burnt area is between two cylinders, the asbestos thread should be wrapped with copper foil.
For cylinder head gasket perforations and radiator leaks, the former can be plugged with a wooden wedge. The latter can be repaired by applying a layer of soap to a suitably sized piece of adhesive tape, wrapping the leak, and then securing it with wire or rope. If a severely cracked pipe is found, it should be removed immediately, the crack cut off, and a suitable bamboo or thin iron pipe fitted between the flexible hoses. Then, it should be securely tied with wire or rope. If there are leaks in the upper or lower water storage chambers, they can be plugged with cotton cloth or wooden blocks and then secured tightly. For minor leaks in the radiator steel pipes, soap can be used to seal the leak. If the leak is severe, gently flatten the radiator core copper pipe with pliers to stop the leak. In case of a sudden power outage, first check the battery. Use pliers to touch the two terminals; if there is no spark, the clamps are loose and can be tightened with a suitable wrench. If the battery is good, the terminals are clean and free of dirt, the clamps are not loose, and the power outage persists, check the connection of the two terminals.
If clutch slippage is found, if the friction plates are contaminated with oil, the oil can be washed away with gasoline.
If a valve spring is broken, the broken spring can be removed, reversed, and reinstalled.

For cylinder head gasket perforations and radiator leaks, the former can be plugged with a wooden wedge. For the latter, a piece of appropriately sized adhesive tape coated with soap can be used to wrap the leak and then secured with wire or rope. If a severely ruptured hose is found, it should be removed immediately, the ruptured section cut off, and a suitable bamboo or thin iron pipe fitted between the hoses. Then secure the installation with wire or rope. If there are leaks in the upper or lower water storage chambers, plug them with cotton cloth or wooden blocks and then secure them tightly.
