Although tractors are relatively complex machines, varying in type and size, they all consist of three main parts: the engine, the chassis, and the electrical system, each indispensable.
The engine is the power-generating device of the tractor, converting the thermal energy of fuel into mechanical energy to output power. Most agricultural tractors produced in my country use diesel engines.
The chassis is the power transmission device of the tractor. Its function is to transmit the engine's power to the drive wheels and working device, enabling the tractor to move and perform mobile or stationary tasks. This function is achieved through the coordinated operation of the transmission system, running gear, steering system, braking system, and working device, which together constitute the tractor's frame and body. Therefore, we collectively refer to these four major systems and one major device as the chassis. In other words, in the overall tractor, all systems and devices except the engine and electrical system are collectively referred to as the tractor chassis.
The electrical system ensures the tractor's electrical supply. Its function is to provide lighting, safety signals, and engine starting.
