Tractor technical maintenance is divided into shift maintenance performed at the beginning or end of each workday and periodic maintenance.

Shift maintenance includes: removing dust and oil stains from the machine. If working in a dusty environment, the air filter should be cleaned. Check the water tank, fuel tank, crankcase oil, transmission oil, and hydraulic oil levels; add oil as needed. Apply grease to all lubrication points. Check for loose external bolts and nuts. Check for oil, water, and air leaks. Observe the oil pressure gauge to ensure it is working properly and indicating correctly. If incorrect, check for a malfunctioning gauge, a faulty oil pump, and a clogged filter. Never operate the tractor when the lubrication system is faulty.

Check the operation of all tractor control mechanisms and for any abnormal noises.

Every 50 hours, clean the diesel fuel tank filter and air filter with clean diesel fuel and replace the oil in the filter pan.

Every 100 hours, clean the air filter and diesel filter with clean kerosene or diesel fuel. Check and adjust valve clearance and clutch clearance. For new engines, clean the oil pan and change the engine oil after the first 100 hours.

Every 200 hours, clean the oil pan and change the engine oil; clean the oil filter; replace the diesel filter element.

The shift maintenance for diesel engines is largely the same as for tractors. Emphasis should be placed on the maintenance of the "three filters" (air filter, fuel filter, and oil filter), and their correct installation after maintenance, especially ensuring that all gaskets are intact, in the correct quantity, and correctly installed.
