The regulations on mandatory tractor scrapping aim to ensure the safety, environmental protection, and rational use of agricultural machinery.
1. Scrapping Age Standards: Generally, the scrapping age for small steering wheel tractors is 10 years, for walking tractors it is 12 years, and for large and medium-sized tractors it is 15 years. Tractors reaching these age limits will be forcibly scrapped.
2. Safety and Environmental Considerations: If a tractor is severely damaged and cannot be repaired to meet safety operation standards, or if its exhaust emissions and other environmental indicators seriously exceed standards and fail to meet requirements after testing, it will also be forcibly scrapped. This is to ensure road traffic safety and reduce environmental pollution.
3. Scrapping Process: The owner must sell the tractor that has reached the scrapping standard to a qualified scrap recycling company. The recycling company will dismantle and destroy the tractor according to regulations and issue a recycling certificate to the owner. The owner can then use the recycling certificate and other relevant materials to complete the deregistration procedures with the agricultural machinery management department.
