Greenhouse drip irrigation offers many advantages, including reduced humidity, increased soil temperature, water conservation, labor saving, high efficiency, and increased yield. However, common problems during use include damaged emitters, clogged drip holes, poor water uniformity, and low flow rate. To avoid these issues, users should pay attention to the following:
1. Selecting Suitable Drip Irrigation Machinery: ① Select a suitable water pump through calculation or according to design requirements; design a reasonable water supply pipe diameter and length to achieve high uniformity; the water supply pipe should be made of plastic with anti-aging properties. ② Emitters are key components; select emitters with uniform water output, strong anti-clogging ability, and easy installation and use. ③ The selected filter should have a lifespan of 120 days or 150 days and be corrosion-resistant and easy to clean.
2. Correctly Installing Drip Irrigation Machinery: ① The water supply pipe should be installed using a two-way water distribution method, striving for balanced distribution on both sides. ② During the installation of the headworks, one pressure gauge and one valve must be installed before and after the filter. This is to observe the pressure difference before and after the filter, facilitate flow and pressure adjustment, and also facilitate filter cleaning.
3. Correct Use of Drip Irrigation Equipment. ① Control the system pressure; the system operating pressure should be kept within the specified standard range. ② The filter is a key component ensuring the normal operation of the system and should be cleaned frequently. If the filter screen is found to be damaged, replace it promptly. ③ Irrigators are easily damaged; lay them out carefully and manage them meticulously. When not in use, roll them up gently; never step on them or drag them on the ground. ④ Strengthen management to prevent debris from entering the irrigation emitters or water supply pipes. If debris is found to have entered, immediately open the plug and flush it clean. ⑤ When the temperature inside the greenhouse is too low in winter, take appropriate measures to prevent the plastic parts, water supply pipes, and irrigation emitters from freezing and cracking. ⑥ When drip irrigating, slowly open the valve and gradually increase the flow rate to expel air, reduce the impact pressure on the irrigation emitters, and extend their service life.
